Cap feeder verification uses sensors, switches or vision checks to confirm a useful condition before the cap reaches the capping head. The condition may be cap presence, queue level, correct orientation, correct colour, correct cap type, liner visibility or whether a reject has been cleared.
The best verification point is chosen around the decision the line must make. A sensor can stop the feeder, stop the capper, release a reject, warn an operator or provide evidence for a quality check.
