The feeder layout must be designed around access as well as cap flow.
Cap feeder footprint planning checks whether the hopper, elevator, bowl, sorter, chute and capper handover physically fit the line while still allowing safe loading, cleaning, jam clearance, changeover and maintenance. A technically suitable feed route can still fail if operators cannot use it comfortably.
Useful layout evidence includes a plan view, conveyor direction, capper location, available height, guard swing, nearby equipment, refill side, service access and the exact point where the cap must reach the capping machine.
